Muskoka District, Draper Township
|Location||West side of Uffington Road, South of the village of Uffington.|
|Status||It appears to be active, but I couldn't find any new interments since 1974 when "These Our Ancestors Were" was published.|
|Oldest Known Interment||1871?|
|Directions||Travel along Highway 11 to Highway 118, 9 km north of Gravenhurst or 6 km south of Bracebridge, Taylor Road. Turn east onto Highway 118 and travel 9 km to Uffington Road. Turn south onto Uffington Road. The cemetery is located south of the village.|
The sign in the cemetery indicates that it was founded in 1880. The oldest interment of 1871 indicates that the death occurred in Sunderland. This does not mean that the person was buried here at that time, but could have been relocated here at a much later date. The next oldest interment is that of Sarah Bell in 1880. This is the same year that the cemetery was founded and she could very well be the first interment.
Disclaimer! The following interments was taken from the book, "These Our Ancestors Were" which was printed in 1974. There are several errors in the book and does not show any burials after 1974. The following listing is only as accurate as the printed book and has not been updated since 1974.
