I'm looking for the maiden name of William Harold Edgar Shea's wife, Sophie/Sophia. He was born abt 1901 and died unknown. I have no dates for her.

His parents, Theodore and Sarah (Flynn) Shea, are buried in Burks Falls Cemetery.

Edgar and Sophie adopted a son circa the 1940s, whose biological mother was apparently a sister of Sophie's. If we can find out Sophie's maiden name, we can probably find out who the biological parents were.

Thank you!

My Grandfather was born in Waterlooville England in 1849 and moved to Parry Sound. He had 3 boys but moved back to England in 1891. My grandfather a widow, remarried when he was in his sixties and my father was born. However his brother Henry Thomas Sylvester, born 1854 also lived with his wife Elizabeth Parry Sound. They had 5 children and I am wondering if there are any more Silvesters or their relatives living in the district.

and hence my query

B. Hopper

Seeking the name of the individual or family who owned an oddly-shaped house (half a trapazoid) in Port Sydney/Utterson in 1897. The house was run as an inn, and later made it into the Guiness Book of Records.

Today the house sits on Township Hall Road.

I am researching my surname WEECH and in so doing came across a site on the net which had the photograph of a gravemarker. The gravesite was at the South River Cemetery (South River, Ontario) It read Anna Chapman WEECH 1874 to May 27, 1967 beloved wife of William WEECH. I believe William to be a lost uncle who was last known living in Toronto in the early 1900's-born Churchville, Ontario. Does anyone have knowledge of WEECH or CHAPMAN in the South River area?
