A General Inquiry
Raeburn/Hind Hi there, searching for any information about my grandparents - Elsie (Banky) Hind and her husband James D. Raeburn. They only moved to the Bracebridge area in late 1940s or 50s. They had a business called Hind Manufacturing that was a sheet metal factory and they specialized in farm and poultry equipment. Any help would be appreciated.

Finding information on modern people is difficult because of privacy laws. Ancestry does have Voters Lists in the time period you are looking at so you hopefully should be able to find them there. I suggest you contact the Bracebridge public library. They are closed right now as so many things are but if you email them they will reply. They will be able to look at telephone directories, business listings, etc. If you go to Canadian Community Digital Archives you will find issues of many newspapers, including 2 from Bracebridge. You can search these yourself. Good luck in your research.
