The Muskoka Lakes Museum is an independent non-profit community museum, focusing on the history of the Muskoka Lakes. It is located in James Bartleman Island Park and accessed by footbridge from the village of Port Carling in the Township of Muskoka Lakes. *Parking is off-site.

Open to genealogy club members and everyone from our surrounding communities.
Street parking is often taken up and is strictly limited to two hours. Parking at the Library or Community Centre on the south east side of the main street is what the library recommends for indefinite parking. The paved footpath to the museum is accessed from the north sidewalk in the center of the bridge. It climbs a moderate grade. If the museum has volunteers that day to operate a golf cart shuttle, this information will be updated.
