A General Inquiry
Hello! My GGG grandfather was Matthew Rankin of Foley. Originally born in Ireland and married to Margaret Rutledge, with a son named Samuel Rankin. I believe he is the Matthew Rankin who had the general store and post office and is the namesake of Rankin Lake Rd. I am trying to track down the baptismal record of his child, Samuel Rankin. He was born in the area (Anglican/Episcopalian/CoE) around 1858. Can someone assist with helping me track down Samuel's birth record? Thank you!!

I checked 1861,1871, and 1881 census. The earliest Sam Rankin appears is on 1881 census, aged 9. He was born c1872.
His birth date is given as 12 March 1873 on 1901 census. Below is a what his birth registration says.
Birth Registration Foley Parry Sound District #006711
Samuel Alexander, male, father Matthew Rankin, mother: Margaret Routledge, father’s profession is farmer. Registered April 3th 1872.
