A General Inquiry

I'm looking for the birth or baptism record for Mary Symington who was born around October 1868 in Ontario to William Symington and Sarah (Duncan) Symington, who were both born in Scotland. Various census and directory records show that the family was definitely in Cardwell (or Watt) Township in 1871. Before that it's less clear. They were definitely in Colborne (further south) in 1861 and there's a chance they were in Morrison Township by 1866. The family was listed as E. Methodist in the 1871 census. I've searched as many databases as I can find online and I'm going to call the two Free Methodist churches in the area but they were different denominations I believe. Any advice on where I should call or reach out to next, perhaps some local museums?

1871 census has her age as 2 so birthdate would be c 1869. 1881 census has age as 12.
Parents are given as William and Sarah plus siblings.
Did not find her listed on Weslyan Methodist Christenings.
Registration did not begin in Ontario until about 1871. Apparently a government agent came around every six months or so and entered the registrations.
I think United Church Archives in Toronto have the Methodist records.
