Eliza Jane Ketch,15, no birth place given, d/o Willim Ketch and Eliza Leopard married Antone Arnold, 23, b France , parents ‘unknown. 10 February 1897, Muskoka Ont. Both were living in Franklin Tsp. Eliza Jane died Kitchener Ont 9 Dec 1931 of mycarditis, d/o William Ketch and Elizabeth Jane Labert both b Durham Ont. Informant: husband Antoine Arnold. Buried in Gissmere Ont. ( think this should be Grassmere which is in Muskoka] Birthdate given as 30 Oct 1877 at Huntsville Ont.Death registration says she died from shock of operation – uterine fibroid & haemorrhage. Her mother’s maiden name is either Labert or Leopard. They sound alike. Both Eliza and Antoine are buried in Grassmere Cemetery, St Paul’s Anglican Cemetery. I cannot see any dates for him on the headstone. son, Coleman Paul Arnold is also buried in same cemetery. He died Feb 1992, aged 91. Coleman Paul married Christiana LeMay, d/o Benjamin LeMay and Allan Stoner, 24 Dec 1920 in Gravenhurst. Coleman and Christiana’s son Newton Thomas Arnold, b 29 Jan 1936 and died 23 Nov 1937. He is buried at Grassmere. Writing is particularly bad but he died of some kind of Intestinal Operation. Son of Anton and Eliza, William Austin Arnold, 17, died of pneumonia in Hospital for Feeble Minded Orillia Ont. 4 Jan 1914. 1911 census says that he cannot read or write. Headstone in St Paul’s Anglican Cemetery Crassmere Ont Mabel Ada ELLIS, b 17 June 1889, died 13 Jan 2005. John Ellis, 12 Jun 1887 to March 1941.Baby Alberta, 1921.Alberta was premature birth, born and died 1921, Death given as 29 Aug 1921. Mabel and John Ellis were married 1 Feb 1915 at Huntsville. Registration # B110458. 1921 census gives two children for the above: Pauline 4 and Leonard 2. Pauline Dorothy married Howard F Bauman 18 Dec 1934 at Waterloo Ontario. SHe is buried in Grassmere Cemetery, died 1995John Ellis is also buried there, died 2007. Leonard Gordon is buried in Grassmere. Dec 5 1919 to Dec 3 2009. John Ellis was in WW1# 763791.1901 and 1911 census are free on http://www.automatedgenealogy.com1921 census is free on Ancestry.1901 census will give birthdates of all children.1921 is the last census released.
