Good afternoon, we are looking for information for my great grandfather, Allan Anthony Reid, born October 7 1903. We know he was born in the Huntsville area, and married Margaret Louttit from Dinorwic Ontario in June 1925.
We are looking to find more information on his heritage.

Hi Marlie! I am also a descendant of Allan and would love more information on his heritage.
Some records indicate his parents being James Rivet/Reid (son of Thomas Rivet, born in France) and Theresa or Louise Albrecht. However, there doesn’t seem to be any DNA evidence for French or German ancestry in that line (per Ancestry DNA). I’d love to know the story here! Best of luck on your search..
