I am interested in any information for William or John Trouten of Brackenridge. They are my great or great-great grandfather(s). One of their daughters was Cora Trouten who was my grandmother.

    Bit of a shortened version.

Whoops! John’s bride on marriage info should read Elizabeth Cora Prosser not Trouten. Sorry.

William was John’s father. William was married twice #1 to Elizabeth Armstrong, and #2 to Mary Ann Hays. Elizabeth died in 1869 and he married Mary Ann in 1870.
William’s death information came off a family tree on Ancestry.

1921 and 1931 census are free on Ancestry.

    From Ancestry.ca
Death registration # 018923 Watt Muskoka
William Trouten, died 22 Aug 1905, aged 79, b Belfast Ireland, died of chronic cystitis/13 years.
Unfortunately this form does not have place for parents.

I answered this query on the General Inquiries.

Thank you very much for all this information. I have checked with the town of Port Carling and they have no burial records for John Trouten, the only one i enquired about. I am curious if there are records available that would provide these details. I was going to stop at the farm they owned and ask the new owners if they had found a grave site for any of the family members.
      Thank you again.

I checked his death certificate again and it only says burial at Port Carling.
No gravestone listed on findagrave site.
Port Carling only has one cemetery.
